After almost two years producing disco-infused beats as one half of Villa, Sebastiaan Vandevoorde is now striking out on his own with his solo project Moonlight Matters. He has already produced a string of acclaimed remixes for the likes of Charlotte Gainsbourg, Monarchy, Alex Winston, Digitalism, Lana del Rey or Is Tropical…
Alex Winston - Sister Wife (Moonlight Matters Radio Remix)
For his debut EP, Come For Me, Vandevoorde enlisted a few friends, such as Gustaph from Hercules & The Love Affair and Straving yet Full (of Azari & III fame) who provide vocals on “Come for Me” and “Standing Up For Love” respectively. Note that the download bundle also features remixes by Jerry, Herr Styler and Punks Jump Up.
All in all the EP includes three original tracks and it’s available now via Kitsuné. For some reason Mighty Mouse’s epic 7-minute remix of the title song didn’t quite make the cut for the official release, which is strange given how deliciously infectious it actually is. But fear not because Moonlight Matters has decided to release it anyway as a free download via his Soundcloud page.

On the heels of their UK tour support for rising star Azealia Banks, London-based trio Dems recently unveiled their new double A-side single “Inner O / Bridesmaid”. Helmed by musician/producer Dan Moss, joined by multi-instrumentalists David Gardener and Duncan Mann, Dems keep distilling their very personal brand of electronica mixed with wonderfully blissed-out guitars, atmospheric synths and elements of IDM.
Reminiscent of The xx (for the textured melodies) or Gotye (for the heartwrenching vocals), Dems have already received strong support from BBC Radio 1′s Jaymo and Andy George, Rob da Bank and Pete Tong. Their new single is out today 2nd April 2012 on Bad Life. If you like it (and you should), go get it!

After unveiling “Devil’s Work” last December to much blog hype, Swedish trio Miike Snow return with another track taken off their forthcoming album Happy To You.
“Paddling Out” is a stuttering uptempo piece of pop goodness that clearly shows a nice evolution for the band. Maybe it’s the syncopated piano or maybe the frenzied sampled beats, but in any case there’s something utterly addictive about this new song… Keep’em coming!
To support the new album, the band will embark on a massive North American tour next March. Fans in the US and Canada get ready for some serious Miike Snow action all the way into May. For more info and tour dates, check out Miike Snow’s official site or Facebook. Buy the music on
London beatboxer (and singer!) Faith SFX teams up with rapper Black The Ripper on this unbelievably good rework of Frank Ocean’s 2011 hit “Good Swim”. And in case you were wondering everything you hear was recorded using voice only.
This cover also uses elements from The Firm’s “Affirmative Action” and Dr Dre’s “Still Dre”. Mix it all up and you get a winning combination!

Hailing from Israel, Guy Gerber has been stirring up electronic audiences on some of the most respected dance floors across the globe over the past ten years. From being the rock kid at the rave, to the Israeli DJ on the European club circuit, to the electronic producer with a fetish for live instruments, he tends to skirt the edge of whatever scene he is in and cultivate a nonconformist attitude.
His 2004 breakthrough single, “Stoppage Time”, became the stand out anthem of the summer in Ibiza and managed to surpass the 5-digit mark in sales. But this early success was nothing compared to the current buzz on Guy: with dozens of acclaimed releases, an ever-evolving live act and his own label (Supplement Facts), his name has become a synonym for “party”…

Guy Gerber & Shlomi Aber - After Love
With his unique melodies and production skills, Gerber manages to keep his audience locked in, be it on record, on stage or through his remixes (Tiger Stripes, Azari & III and Deniz Kurtel amongst others). It’s impossible to say where all of this is headed, but with a talent as bold and unorthodox as his, we can expect great things.
