CHARLOTTE CARDIN – MEANINGLESS (Pop/Electro – Canada)

Singer-songwriter Charlotte Cardin, was born in Montreal and spent her childhood learning piano and taking singing lessons. Inspired by everyone from Radiohead to Etta James to Celine Dion, she started writing her own songs for fun as a teenager. Cardin first broke through with her 2016 Canadian EP Big Boy. The release proved a phenomenon with tracks “Like It Doesn’t Hurt (feat. Husser)” and “Dirty Dirty” quickly gaining critical acclaim the US.

Fast forward to 2020 and the 26-year-old chanteuse is currently putting the finishing touches on her debut full-length, and she recently shared with her fans a brand new and highly addictive single titled “Meaningless”. About the song, Charlotte Cardin says:

“My favourite song ever released. The whole process around Meaningless (writing/recording/making the video) has made me grow in ways I can’t even explain. The song is about choosing momentary relief over any long lasting numbness. The song is about our wounds and addictions. The song is about love. The song is about how our connection to one another is our only salvation.”
