Kiev are band out of Orange County who play a layered, rhythmic brand of rock. Often compared to Radiohead, Menomena or Muse, the Californian quintet of singer-guitarist Robert Brinkerhoff, keyboardist-guitarist Alex Wright, drummer Brandon Corn, keyboardist-saxophonist Andy Stavas and bassist Derek Poulsen have cranked up the intensity on their last EP Be Gone Dull Cage & Others.

Kiev manages to be emotional and trippy at the same time, weaving in some electro beats and atmospherics that punctuate their guitar-laden numbers.
