MOM – KAWASAKI EP (Electro/Pop – Germany)

MOM is an electro-pop duo formed in Berlin just over two years ago and consisting of Konrad ( producer, composer) and Milad (singer, songwriter). They unveiled their latest single “Kawasaki” on November 2nd and it’s the first taster from the eponymous EP, to be released on Nov 23rd.

The duo’s sound can be described as a skilful mix of mellow radio-friendly soul and 80s synthpop, the kind of music you should listen to in a dimly lit room, sat on a plush sofa, with a glass of fine wine in one hand, just after midnight. Reminiscent of Sebastien Tellier‘s pop universe or Chromatics highly cinematic productions, “Kawasaki” is a good example of the band’s DIY approach to music making and why sometimes less really IS more.
