GUITARRICADELAFUENTE – AGUA Y MEZCAL (Folk/Pop- Spain)

Guitarricadelafuente is the artistic name of Álvaro Lafuente Calvo, a 25-year-old singer-songwriter, composer and musician from Benicàssim, Spain. He first gained attention on Instagram, where he covered songs with his own personal twist, and, in April 2018, he went on to release his first original song, Conticinio”, recorded at home with a Playstation Singstar microphone.

His music looks back on the traditions of his hometown and his grandparents’ tiny village in Aragon, allowing him to deconstruct his identity express his deepest thoughts and feelings. Guitarricadelafuente’s sensitivity and sonic legacy build the backbone for his debut, La Cantera, released in 2022, in which older listeners will recognise ’80s Spanish rock references and the youth will identify with his raw lyrics and energetic spark.
