DIM SUM – RIGHT TRACK (House/Pop – France)

DIM SUM

French electronic artist/producer Dim Sum is back with new single “Right Track” featuring the gorgeous vocal stylings of French artist Nina Lili J. Brought to you by indie label Soundress, the song is the lead single and title track from Dim Sum’s forthcoming EP, which will be released just after the summer. “Right Track” combines the best of Dim Sum: sparkling electronic beats matched with alluringly featherlight vocals making for a delightfully summery tune, ideal for a late afternoon pool party.

Dim Sum first debuted 3 years ago with “Coucou Disco”, a nu disco anthem, and has maintained a strong profile in the electro/disco scene ever since. The new single follows the enormous success “High Love,” which has received over 5 million streams on Spotify alone.

In addition to originals, Dim Sum regularly remixes international talent, pumping out remixes for acts such as Ra Ra Riot, Poom and Christine & The Queens. Noteworthy remixes also include Odesza, Foster the People, Panama Wedding…

JOE GODDARD – ELECTRIC LINES (Electro/IDM – UK)

Joe Goddard
Member of Hot Chip, 1/2 of the 2 Bears, songwriter, producer, DJ, Grammy award nominated remixer and co-founder of the Greco-Roman label, Joe Goddard is a man of many hats. Following hot on the heels of singles ‘Lose Your Love’ and ‘Music Is The Answer’ he recently released his brilliant new album Electric Lines via Greco Roman / Domino Records.

The title refers to the colourful cables that link the modules in his Eurorack synthesizer and to the invisible wires that run between all the different kinds of electronic music that he loves. An apt title for a record which brilliantly unites the strands of his prolific career.

Combining an unquenchable thirst for experimentation, an instinctive understanding of the dancefloor and a love of left-of-centre pop music, Electric Lines confirms Joe Goddard’s place in the front rank of British producers.

saturday nite with… ICARUS

Icarus

After the success of singles “October” and “They Are Not Like You”, Bristol-based duo Icarus present their first new track of 2017: “King Kong”. Brothers Ian and Tom Griffiths have delivered a beast of a track, recalling the exuberant energy of Basement Jaxx or Groove Armada. “King Kong” exudes potent dynamism from every element of the production, from the booming bass to the urgent percussion.

“Last year we put out a lot of atmospheric stuff, but with ‘King Kong’ we’ve switched our style again,” explains Tom. “It’s something more experimental and more light-hearted. We don’t want to overthink it too much, and we don’t want to stick to one particular lane because we like writing all sorts of tracks.”

There’s much more to come from the ICARUS camp and their Fly Boy label in the near future. Already confirmed are two huge festivals: Annie Mac’s Lost & Found Festival in Malta this April, and then Croatia’s infamous Hideout Festival in June.
