Cooling you off from the summer sun, British/French electro duo Loframes and Paris-based dreampop wunderkind Anoraak team up for a disco-chill release. “Since You’ve Gone” guides listeners through a sea of psychedelic guitars, lush chords and ethereal vocals that will resonate with anyone who’s ever been in love.
Accompanying the original are two remixes that retool the song for clubs. Brooklyn’s own Lefti boosts the tempo and trades disco for synthpop, paying homage to an era of neon skylines and underground clubs. Swiss producer Worship closes out the EP with layer upon layer of synths building the track up to an ecstatic climax.

Back after a long break, Parisian dreampop wunderkind Anoraak (aka Frédéric Rivière) has just released the brand new Figure EP on his own imprint Endless Summer Music. The opening track, “We Lost”, is a collaboration with long-time friend Slow Shiver, a new project from Italian-born LA-based Valente Bertelli. It’s a nostalgic ballad which offers the perfect balance between Anoraak’s lush synth arpeggios and Slow Shiver’s delicate vocals over a steady beat.
The EP also includes the dreamy, synth-driven “Odds Are Good”, which was featured last year on the compilation Eskimo Recordings Presents: The Orange Collection. This finely crafted tune mixes moody bass lines with 80s-tinged synths and evocative vocals to create a perfect example of sophisticated and contemplative synth pop.

After three years pumping out stunning disco-tinged singles and rocking France’s coolest clubs with their incendiary DJ-sets, Parisian duo Jupiter are finally releasing their eagerly awaited debut album Juicy Lucy via French indie label Grand Blanc.
Jupiter bring funky beats to the forefront and lead a mighty brigade for true connoisseurs of disco dance music with their debut album. But while the album features the duo’s already classic debut “Starlighter” and high-energy follow-up singles “Saké” and “One-O-Six”, it surprisingly enough omits their 2010 disco extravaganza “Vox Populi”, which you can stream just below…
Jupiter – Vox Populi (Lifelike Treatment)
That’s ok though, because the record is chock-full of brilliant new original tracks that will get your hips moving and yours head bobbing in no time. Meticulously produced down to every beat, Juicy Lucy is an avalanche of poppy synths, bouncy breaks and catchy melodies on par with the great classics of 70s and 80s disco/funk.
Jupiter - Sake (Anoraak Remix)
As a bonus, here is a remix Jupiter just produced for Midnight Magic‘s latest single “Calling Out”… Like it? Find plenty more remixes here.

You might remember Parisian electropop duo Jupiter from their high-energy singles “Saké” and “Vox Populi”. Over the past couple of years, Amélie and Quarles, Jupiter’s creative core, have established a solid reputation as France’s best purveyors of club-friendly electro.
Their latest endeavour is a synthalicious remix of “Clash” by Paris-based outfit Caravan Place. With a touch of nu-disco and addictive beats, Jupiter turn the song into a true dancefloor anthem!
Word on the street is that A&Q are currently working on their debut album, which should be pretty amazing if what they have released so far is any measure. While we wait for Jupiter’s album, let’s go over some of the remixes they have produced for the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, Chew Lips, Anoraak, Metronomy and KiT. The list is long and the standard is high but here is a little selection…
KiT – Animals (Jupiter Remix)
Blackjoy - Mercurian (Jupiter Remix)
Chew Lips - Salt Air (Jupiter Remix)
