Jonathan Boulet is the newest player in the Modular clubhouse, a precociously inspired 21 year old musician from Sydney’s Northwest. “A Community Service Announcement” is the righteously smashing single from Jonathan Boulet’s new album and it comes with a great video directed by New Zealand duo Special Problems.
Van She are a Sydney four-piece who bridge the musical gap between boldly adventurous shoegaze and danceable glint disco. Van She began in 2005, when the members met at a Bang Gang nights in Sydney.
The release of their much hyped self-titled EP on Modular Records brought them wide recognition, especially with the success of the single “Sex City”, which was then covered by Crystal Castles on their debut LP. In 2008, Van She released their thrilling debut V, which debuted at number 10 on the Australian charts. This album is a collection of spacey dance tracks with its foot firmly planted in the pop world.
The band are known to step off the stage and into their DJ guise of Van She Tech to remix tracks by the likes of Dragonette, Ladyhawke and Lost Valentinos. Their 2008 debut album, V, received the royal Tech treatment and was remixed and re-released by the band, fittingly titled Ze Vemixes.

Hailing from Melbourne, Midnight Juggernauts are Andy Juggernaut, Vincent Vendetta, and Daniel Stricker. Andrew and Vincent originally met in school and formed the band back in 2004. They released a couple of EPs together and were later joined by Daniel on drums. Their work met with a lot of success amongst their peers so the band kept working and, in 2007, they released their debut album Dystopia on their own label, Siberia Records.
Midnight Juggernauts’ music has been described as anything from ‘prog dance meets cosmic film scores’ to ‘slasher-flick disco’ to ‘deadpan landscape’. This incredible mix of influences has attracted a great variety of artists to work with them and the boys have had the opportunity to do remixes for Dragonette, K.I.M, Cut/Copy, Sébastien Tellier or The Presets.
After playing festivals and headlining tours worldwide during late 2007-early 2008, the band is now working on their follow-up album. For now, you can check out their latest EP, This New Technology (Acéphale, 2009), and purchase it on
