Paris-based trio Chateau Marmont just shared for their new single “Wind Blows”, released on their own label Chambre 404. The song is taken off their debut album, The Maze, and it comes with a summer-ready video and a beautiful remix by Yuksek.
Singer Guillaume De Maria and his bandmates Julien Galner and Raphael Vialla are veterans of the French electro scene, best known for their mind-bending remixes of La Roux, Heartsrevolution, Ladyhawke, Peter, Bjorn and John, Royksöpp). Their new album was written and recorded in their Parisian studio and released last month to overwhelmingly good reviews. With remarkable pop saviness, they produce classy synth numbers and mesmerizing instrumentals which take you back to the heyday of Italo disco.
Mammals is the solo project of 23-year-old singer songwriter Guy Brown. Equally influenced by Radiohead, Bon Iver and Jeff Buckley, he creates an elegant mix of folk and ambient electronica, with gorgeous vocal harmonies and emotive guitar work.

The young Sydney-based artist recently shared his latest endeavor “Move Slower”. This new song sees his recognizably soft vocals combine with his love of subtle instrumentation, generating a warm and dreamy folk vibe.
It’s been a while since Aussie pop duo Flight Facilities released any new material so expectations were sky high ahead of their new single “Clair de Lune”. After the sweeping success of their tropical summer tune “With You”, fans were probably hoping for another singalong synthy tune, but FF decided to go in a completely different direction. Taking inspiration from French composer Claude Debussy‘s piece “Clair de Lune”, this eight-minute track is surprisingly smooth and chilled out, much more contemplative than any of their previous work.
Featuring vocals by Christine Hoberg, glossy keyboards and rising strings, “Clair de Lune” is “our ode to [Debussy] because we’re both so in love with that song”, the duo explained. The single is out now in Australia and New Zealand and will be available next week in the rest of the world.

Suburban Dream (formerly known as Crowd Control) is the work of Dublin-based producer Ciaran McCarthy. With his brand of downbeat, jazzy, chilled out grooves, McCarthy creates moody pieces that sound like Thievery Corporation crossed with Moby.
Suburban Dream’s latest offering is the New Year’s Day EP, released last September 14th on McCarthy’s own label Suburban Dream Recordings. As we have come to expect from the Irish producer, New Year’s Day features a subtle mix of sampled piano and quirky beats over layered synths. The two new original tracks on the EP run with a more synth driven sound than usual but the result is still the chilled vibe Suburban Dream is known for.
Based in Phoenix, Christopher Skelton (aka Christonious Monk) is a young writer, painter, beatmaker who is also one half of the brush and pen compound. For his most recent musical project, Chris decided to go by The Isto and it’s under this new moniker that he will release his debut EP this Thursday September 1st.
This super chilled out 6-track EP is called The Dreamers Room and you can already stream it in full HERE. To promote his self-produced, self-released debut, The Isto is giving away one track for free: “Keeping Light in Sight”. You can listen to this cool summer jam below and right-click and Save if you want to keep it.
The Isto - Keeping Light In Sight
Based on sampled sounds and tight beats, the whole EP follows a relaxed pace, moving between hip hop and electronica with natural ease. At roughly two and a half minute each, the tracks on The Dreamers Room are concise but The Isto still manages to pack enough emotion in each of them to make them relevant.
And now for your listening pleasure, here are a couple of goodies: two more tracks that we found on Soundcloud. Just sit back and enjoy…
