Melbourne artist Elkkle (Callum Baker) has been getting a lot of attention in the past few months; he collaborated with Aussie songstress Woodes and also co-wrote Golden Vessel’s ‘Shoulders’. And now he has a brand new single ready for your listening pleasure.
“‘Frails’ is about the relationship between mental and physical health. Sometimes when one begins to slip, it’s very easy to let it drag the other one down. It describes feelings of fragility, hopelessness, and isolation. Albeit with a desire to be better.” – elkkle
This new tune follows on from Elkkle’s critically acclaimed singles “Soft Erasure” and “Diderot”, released in June 2017 and November 2016 respectively. He is now working hard on his debut solo EP, which should hopefully be released before the end of the year.

Rising Australian multi-talented artist Golden Vessel (born Max Byrne) is back with “Shoulders”, the latest preview of his second EP. Released in collaboration with Exist Recordings (a label founded by none other than The Kite String Tangle), “Shoulders” sees the Brisbane-based producer venture further into soundscapes mixing sultry R&B and future electronica with a sprinkling of hip-hop edge.
Influenced by Flume, James Blake or Chet Faker, Byrne’s smooth blend of bouncy down-tempo beats and wonky synths create the perfect backdrop for some seriously infectious vocals provided by fellow Brisbanites, and accomplished artists in their own right, Elkkle and Mallrat. A match made in heaven if there ever was one!
