Irish electro/house icon Róisín Murphy returns to the dance floor with the track “Simulation”, a slow pumping jam, with a vintage disco glimmer, released in late 2012 via Munich-based imprint Permanent Vacation. Produced by Richard Barratt, the song develops an enormously captivating effect over 12 minutes with a constantly swelling beat and vocal performance.
The official release includes a remix by fellow Irish man and rising star of house music Mano Le Tough, as well as a shorter dub version provided by Eric Kupper.

Irish singer-songwriter James Vincent McMorrow released his debut record, Early in the Morning, in Ireland to widespread critical acclaim in February 2010. Put together over 5 months in an isolated house by the sea, this stunning album is a completely self recorded affair, filled with vivid stories, fables that move from a whisper in your ear to a mountainous crescendo in the space of a song.
This widely praised debut was recently re-released for the UK, Europe and the US as a special edition with a few bonus tracks. One of the bonus tracks is a gorgeous cover of Chris Isaak’s timeless classic “Wicked Game”. McMorrow has stripped the song back to its essence and rebuilt it around his heartfelt vocals, delivering a version that is nothing less than amazing.

Suburban Dream (formerly known as Crowd Control) is the work of Dublin-based producer Ciaran McCarthy. With his brand of downbeat, jazzy, chilled out grooves, McCarthy creates moody pieces that sound like Thievery Corporation crossed with Moby.
Suburban Dream’s latest offering is the New Year’s Day EP, released last September 14th on McCarthy’s own label Suburban Dream Recordings. As we have come to expect from the Irish producer, New Year’s Day features a subtle mix of sampled piano and quirky beats over layered synths. The two new original tracks on the EP run with a more synth driven sound than usual but the result is still the chilled vibe Suburban Dream is known for.
