After three years pumping out stunning disco-tinged singles and rocking France’s coolest clubs with their incendiary DJ-sets, Parisian duo Jupiter are finally releasing their eagerly awaited debut album Juicy Lucy via French indie label Grand Blanc.
Jupiter bring funky beats to the forefront and lead a mighty brigade for true connoisseurs of disco dance music with their debut album. But while the album features the duo’s already classic debut “Starlighter” and high-energy follow-up singles “Saké” and “One-O-Six”, it surprisingly enough omits their 2010 disco extravaganza “Vox Populi”, which you can stream just below…
Jupiter – Vox Populi (Lifelike Treatment)
That’s ok though, because the record is chock-full of brilliant new original tracks that will get your hips moving and yours head bobbing in no time. Meticulously produced down to every beat, Juicy Lucy is an avalanche of poppy synths, bouncy breaks and catchy melodies on par with the great classics of 70s and 80s disco/funk.
Jupiter - Sake (Anoraak Remix)
As a bonus, here is a remix Jupiter just produced for Midnight Magic‘s latest single “Calling Out”… Like it? Find plenty more remixes here.

French house producer Demon has been working behind the decks since his tweens, occasionally collaborating with big names of the electro scene. From Heartbreaker to Herr Styler to Bran Van 3000 to Benjamin Diamond, the list is long and impressive.
The man behind it all is Jeremie Mondon, a Hip Hop fan who converted to electro the late 90s. In his original tracks and in his remixes for other artists, he creates massive beats that leave a lasting effect and draw people to the dancefloor.
Lifelike - Love Emulator (Demon Remix)
Demon has released two LPs, Midnight Funk (1999) and Music That You Wanna Hear (2004), and plenty of EPs that are well worth checking out. He is currently working on his long-awaited third full-length, Night on Earth, which should be released soon. To ease the wait, he put out a double EP last year (I Think and Vol II) including remixes of the title track by the likes of D.I.M, Memory Tapes, Mondkopf, Donovan or Crusz, and the B-side “For Fuck’s Sake” featuring Craig Walker (ex-Archive/Power Of Dreams).

With their magic synths, electrified beats and unmistakable 80s touch, Jupiter give us pure electro bliss.
Jupiter - Vox Populi (Lifelike Treatment)
At umstrum||music we are suckers for anything Jupiter (see HERE, HERE and HERE) and this new release just proves our point: these guys rule! Their original tracks are great (“Starlighter”, “Submarine 75”, “Chip”), but the remixes they’ve done for bands such as Two Door Cinema Club, Metronomy or KiT also show great consistency in excellence..
