Kiwi songstress Ladyhawke is gearing up with the release of her sophomore album Anxiety, to be released this coming May 25th. In the meantime she has just unleashed upon the world the video for her new single “Sunday Drive”, which you can watch above.
Directed by Mat O’Brien, it was premiered by #1 fan Perez Hilton on Monday and it’s already making the rounds on the internet. “Sunday Drive” is dark and broody, yet still with that unmistakably catchy signature Ladyhawke hook.

What happens when you put NZ songstress Kimbra, Foster the People frontman Mark Foster and Quebec electro sensation A-trak in a studio for a week? They put together a ridiculously punchy new track, complete with syncopated beats and synths galore.
Kimbra + Mark Foster + A-trak - Warrior
“Warrior” is the latest track in the Converse Three Artists – One Song series, which has seen collaborations from the likes of James Murphy, Andre 3000 and Gorillaz on “DoYaThing”, Santigold, Julian Casablancas and Pharrell Williams on “My Drive Thru” or Matt & Kim, Soulja Boy and Andrew W.K. on “I’m a Goner”.
The song was released on April 5th and it’s available as a free download from the official Converse Plug into Color website.
The Naked and Famous are a five-piece indie band hailing from Auckland, New Zealand. They formed in 2008 when Thom Powers and Alisa Xayalith recorded two EPs with engineer Aaron Short, a fellow student at Auckland’s MAINZ music college. In 2009, they recorded the single “All of This” and Aaron Short became a performing member of the band, later joined by Jesse Wood (drums) and David Beadle (bass) as full-time members.
To this day, their 2010 single “Young Blood” remains, by far, their most widely known tune. Upon its release, the single shot straight to number one on the New Zealand chart and over the next months it was remixed by a number of high profile artists, including Chiddy Bang, Dave Sitek, White Sea and Melbourne’s own Strange Talk.

“Young Blood” was then included on the band’s debut album, Passive You Agressive Me, which was recorded mostly at home and at Auckland studio The Lab, and released in September 2010 on TNAF’s own label, Somewhat Damaged.
