TURZI ELECTRONIQUE EXPERIENCE – EDUCATION (Electro/Rock – France)

Signed to Parisian label Record Makers, Turzi Electronique Expérience is the brainchild of French musician Romain Turzi. His latest endeavour, Education, is the natural continuation of his 2005 debut album, Made Under Authority, which saw the young artist exploring krautrock and dissonance. Now, Turzi has broken free from his own codes and his vision reaches further, out of his intellectual comfort zone.

Co-produced by Pilooski, Education incorporates a wide range of influences ranging from Morricone to Michael Cretu or Tangerine Dream. The final result is an album that sounds like the soundtrack to an imaginary movie, with each track building its own narrative and letting the listener fill in the gaps.

SEBASTIEN TELLIER – REMIXES (Electro/Pop – France)

Paris-based singer songwriter Sebastien Tellier doesn’t really need any introduction. In the past few years, he has managed to make quite a name for himself, exporting his highly personal blend of 80s flavoured electro way beyond the borders of his home country.

With three full-length albums released to date (L’incroyable Vérité, Politics and Sexuality), a soundtrack and two compilations, Tellier has been quite prolific and his music has been a constant source of inspiration for many producers and DJs, who have been releasing many reworks of his songs. MOULLINEX – LOVER IN ME (Electro/Nu Disco – Germany)

Moullinex (now spealt with two l’s) is the moniker of Dj/producer/composer Luis Clara Gomes, who is originally from Viseu, a small countryside town in Portugal, but now based in Munich. Ever since his first productions started being released, he has received scores of remix requests by such artists as Sebastien Tellier, Cut Copy, Who Made Who or Two Door Cinema Club, and labels such as Kitsuné, Modular or Compost.

Between worldwide touring and constant studio work – and while refusing to give up a career in neurology and astronomy research – he also helped to found Discotexas, a record label and collective of artists from sunny Lisbon. Discotexas has just released the Forbidden Cuts EP featuring Moullinex, Xinobi and Rockets (download it for free HERE).

In 2009 Moullinex signed to Gomma Records, for which he is recording a full-length album. His first LP should be out in spring! On this album he is on a perpetual quest to avoid repetition of what he’s done before and this is why Luis invited friends to join his ranks. They helped him in shaping a sound always infused with eclecticism and also developed a live show, where fresh tracks are taken to a whole new level of interaction.
