Paris-based trio Chateau Marmont just shared for their new single “Wind Blows”, released on their own label Chambre 404. The song is taken off their debut album, The Maze, and it comes with a summer-ready video and a beautiful remix by Yuksek.

Singer Guillaume De Maria and his bandmates  Julien Galner and Raphael Vialla are veterans of the French electro scene, best known for their mind-bending remixes of La Roux, Heartsrevolution, Ladyhawke, Peter, Bjorn and John, Royksöpp). Their new album was written and recorded in their Parisian studio and released last month to overwhelmingly good reviews. With remarkable pop saviness, they produce classy synth numbers and mesmerizing instrumentals which take you back to the heyday of Italo disco.

Peter & The Magician

Hot on the heels of their glorious debut “Twist”, the unpredictable electro-disco duo Peter & The Magician are back in the game with their brand new single “Memory”, released last July 9th on Kitsuné!

Formed last year by French electro wizard Yuksek and Belgian disco maestro The Magician, Peter & The Magician combines their respective styles and influences to create something new and original. Their second single “Memory” is a dancefloor stomper that seamlessly blends italo disco synths and electro beats. The download package features three remixes by Le Crayon, NSFW and POINDEXTER…

Stuck in the Sound

Stuck in the Sound are a French indie rock band hailing from Paris. The four-piece consists of José Reis Fontao (vocals and guitar), Emmanuel Barichasse (guitar) Arno Bordas (bass) and François Ernie (drums and backing vocals).

The band is well-known on the Parisian and French scene for its energetic scenic performances. They released their debut album Nevermind the Living Dead in November 2006, followed by their sophomore album Shoegazing Kids in 2009, both on Discograph.

From Denmark by way of Brooklyn, electropop sensation Oh Land wowed us last year with her single “Son of a Gun” and its subsequent remix by DJ/producer Yuksek.

The French beatmaker gave the song his own spin, turning it into a real dancefloor anthem. Such a good remix that it deserved its own video, directed by thirtytwo (aka Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace) and edited by yours truly!

YUKSEK – LIVING ON THE EDGE OF TIME (Pop – France)

In just a few years, Yuskek has become one of the leading figures on the French electro scene, regularly rubbing shoulders with the likes of Justice, Daft Punk or Vitalic. Originally signed to Birdy Nam Nam’s label UWe, he raised his profile internationally with a string of hot remixes for The Kaiser Chiefs, M83, Gorillaz, Bot’Ox, Peaches, Siriusmo, Teenage Bad Girl, Van She, Adam Kesher… and the list goes on!

Peaches - Lose U (Yuksek & Brodinski Rmx)     

Yuksek released his debut album, Away From The Sea, in February 2009 to generally good reviews. After this solo effort, he released an album with his good friend Brodinski as The Krays in 2010 and the Twist EP with Belgian DJ/producer The Magician in June 2011 on Kitsuné. Now, two years after his debut, Yuksek recently released his sophomore solo album Living On The Edge Of Time.

Yuksek has traded his massive beats and jumpy basslines for a more pop-oriented sound, something he had been meaning to do for a long time. This new album is arguably Yuksek’s most commercial work to date, with a clear emphasis on optimism and giddy choruses it has enough mainstream appeal to give the DJ a wider audience.

Yuksek - Always On The Run     

One of the more upbeat tracks on the album, “Always On The Run” also feels like a statement of purpose. Yuksek is breaking new ground and he seems to be determined to run away from self repetition and to explore and move forward, never looking back.
