AGNES – EGO (Synth/Dance – Sweden)

Following the success of and “Milk,” acclaimed Swedish pop icon Agnes recently releases the highly anticipated music video, directed by Swim Club, for her latest single “EGO”. The disco-synth-tinged poptrack “EGO,” released on September 5th, is the third single from Agnes’ upcoming album. Written by Agnes in collaboration with Vincent Pontare & Salem al Fakir, Hannah Wilson, Kerstin Ljungström and Frans Bryngel, the song explores the liberation that comes from setting aside the ego in relationships and within oneself.

The visuals for “EGO” perfectly complement the song’s themes, featuring striking imagery that plays with contrasts. Agnes explains: “We wanted to play with contrast – speed and stillness, recklessness and control, weirdness and power, holding on and letting go. I love mixing things up and playing with opposites in every detail: in styling, glossy against matte, chaos against precision – and we carried that into the choreography too.”
