ЛУНА – МЕТЕЛИКИ (SynthPop – Ukraine)

Ukrainian indie singer songwriter Kristina Bardash is better LUNA (ЛУНА) the moniker she chose in 2014 to launch her solo career. The artist captures the decadent image of post-Soviet underground parties, invoking the image of a fallen diva stuck somewhere between the internet age and the 90′s. 

Her song “Метелики” (“Butterflies”) showcases Luna’s ability to seamlessly mix minimal beats, 80s-influenced bass lines and dreamy vocals. Her fragile deadpan voice is layered and washed in reverb and this ghostly presence takes centre stage against waves of analog synths.
