SALUTE – TRUE MAGIC DELUXE (House/Electro – UK)

Salute (aka Felix Angyumanu Nyajo) is an Austrian DJ and producer based in Manchester, who is currently signed to independent record label, Ninja Tune. Off the success of some high profile remixes of Aaliyah or Sam Smith, Salute spent the better part of the last decade releasing a string of adrenaline-pumping EPs and working with artists such as with Charli XCX or Rudimental.

In July 2025, Nyajo released the deluxe version of his shimmering debut album, True Magic, including collabs with Disclosure, Rina Sawayama, LEILAH, Sam Gellaitry, Karma Kid and more. Taking aesthetic and auditory inspiration from old Japanese car adverts, Salute developed a concept for the album of driving around in an old JDM (Japanese Domestic Market). The extended version of the album includes a handful of previously unreleased tracks, stellar remixes by Flux Pavilion, Dismantle amongst others, and instrumentals.

The album sees the young artist embrace a very collaborative approach, renting a house in the countryside to work on the album with their peers. In Salute’s own words, “there’s much more of a focus on songwriting and collaboration on this album. In dance music there always seems to be this focus on doing everything yourself but I wanted to get a team around me to develop the ideas.”
