TORA – WHITE CADILLAC (Pop/Indie – Australia)
In the heart of the Australian music scene, TORA was born in the coastal town of Byron Bay in the early 2010s and quickly became synonymous with sonic innovation, ethereal soundscapes and captivating melodies. Over the years, they have helped shape the indie electronica genre, experimenting and incorporating diverse musical elements along their artistic journey.
In late June, the band released the White Cadillac EP, a five tracker which continues to push the boundaries of what music can be. It’s the first taste of their fourth studio album Temps de Flors, the follow-up to 2021’s A Force Majeure, which is scheduled to drop in September 2024.
The title track is a collaboration with long-time friend Nada Katana and it’s “about the early phases of a relationship, when everything feels risky and exciting, but you’re not quite sure if it’s all real yet. It’s essentially a song about the honeymoon phase”, TORA explained in an interview.
TORA will be touring through Europe, USA, Canada, Mexico and Australia to present their forthcoming album through Oct/Nov. Find them on Facebook or check out their official site for info and tour dates. Check out their SoundCloud for more tunes.
