BENJI LEWIS – UNWIND (ElectroPop – Australia)

Australian artist Benji Lewis is back this week with ‘Unwind’, a summery new single produced by long-time collaborator Golden Vessel. As Australia rolls into its summer months, Covid restrictions are also slowly being lifted and there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel, a glimmer of hope, which is very much what this new song is about.

Benji explains: “‘Unwind’ is a song about hope and freedom. It’s about moving on to better things, knowing there are brighter days ahead, living in the moment and just letting it all go. The song feels like freedom and summer time to me, and for a while I just didn’t feel we were in the right place for this song to exist, but as we start moving into some of that here in Australia now, it just felt like the perfect time to share it with everyone.”

The song was written with Golden Vessel in Brisbane during the start of 2020 and is another fine example of the two artists’ very productive collaboration. Often likened to a mix between Zachary Knowles, Jeremy Zucker and Shallou, Benji’s sound displays his innate songwriting skills and crisp chill-pop sound.
