CARLOS SADNESS – CHOCOLATE Y NATA (Indie/Pop – Spain)

Spanish alt/indie singer songwriter Carlos Sadness (previously known as Shinoflow) recently shared a rework of his song “Chocolate y Nata” featuring emerging Mexican artist Bratty (Jenny Juárez). Released on February 4th 2021 via Sony Music, this collaboration brings forward the original track’s chilled and tropical vibe and Bratty’s ethereal vocals add a sweetness and naivete which perfectly complement Carlos Sadness’s voice.

“Chocolate y Nata” is taken off Tropical Jesus, Carlos Sadness’s fourth studio album, released in June 2020. The 13-track LP is loaded with urban tunes that mix pop melodies, elements of electronica and tropical sounds. With four albums and countless collaborations under his belt, Carlos Sadness has become a very influential artist on the Spanish indie scene. He draws influences from bands such as Death Cab For Cutie, Simon and Garfunkel, Los Piratas or Joy Division.

Bonus track: “Volcanes Dormidos” taken off Carlos Sadness’s 2018 album Diferentes Tipos De Luz
