DISCODEINE – SYNCHRONIZE (Disco/Electro – France)

Discodeine are is a French duo born in 2007 from the sick minds of Pilooski and Pentile (aka Benjamin Morando). They have already a few remixes (for Metronomy, Bot’Ox, Photonz…) and three acclaimed EPs on French imprint Dirty, home label of the well known “Dirty edits” (a collaborative project between Pilooski and Dirty Sound System).

Their disco-influenced grooves have been tracklisted by the likes of Simian Mobile Disco, Erol Alkan, Ewan Pearson, Chloé, Prins Thomas, and Aeroplane. For their forthcoming album, they have collaborated with a few A-list artists, including Jarvis Cocker, who lends his vocal skills to the track “Synchronize”. Sure works for me!

Discodeine - Synchronize (Feat. Jarvis Cocker)

As stated on their MySpace, “Discodeine is about club music and intensity, voodoo, chicago house, futuristic disco, jackin’ techno, analog basslines…” They have been delivering massive electro house hits for a few years now and they seem to have found a good formula.

Discodeine - Invert (Parce Que Edit)

The track you can listen to here was re-edited by Parce Que and reached new heights of disco perfection in the process. This version is more minimalistic in its approach and its slow-grinding groove and sick synths totally hit the spot. tripped down edits just pushes all the right buttons.

This is cool, a mix of Electro & Funky Disco-Pop, it’s not disco. Disco has that must have whinny R&B male/female vocal that’s so annoying. This is electronic electro funk pop.
