UK pop princess Ellie Goulding recently shared a cover of The Weeknd’s “High For This” via SoundCloud, creating a shock wave amongst her fans, all too eager to get their hands on some new music by the young artist. Truth be told, it has been quite a while since Goulding last released original material but fans will have to make do with this cover, which is pretty awesome by the way…

Produced by Xaphoon Jones (one half of alternative hip hop duo Chiddy Bang), the song is a smooth and twinkly reinterpretation of the original, with minimal beats, light keys, finger snaps and Ellie Goulding’s ravishing voice shining through.
