KLYNE – CLOSER (Electro/Synth – Netherlands)

Based out of Eindhoven, singer Nick Klein and producer Ferrous Dehzad have combined their talents to form Klyne. Their double A-side EP Closer dropped digitally in November 2015 to great reviews. The undeniably infectious title track “Closer” finds the duo confidently exploring their unique and edgy brand of electropop, taking their sharp beats and retro synths for a spin on the dance floor.

Influenced by the electro sound of Soulwax or Tiga, as well as Prince’s soulful tunes and John Mayer’s pop sensibilities, the young duo creates a meticulously produced hybrid of these different genres with larger-than-life keyboards accompanied by great vocals. On the remix side of things, Klyne also reworked the track “Omen” for none other than UK hit-makers Disclosure.
