LOLA YOUNG – CONCEITED (Alt/Rock – UK)

South London alt-pop singer songwriter Lola Young wrote her first song at the early age of 11 and today she seems well on her way to stardom. Released in late 2023, the BRIT nominee’s viral single ‘Conceited” garnered critical acclaim and further cemented her status as the artist to watch in 2024.

The track, which was produced by Solomonophonic (BROCKHAMPTON, Remi Wolf, Dominic Fike), couples driving basslines with Young’s raw vocals and slowly builds up to a cathartic guitar-heavy climax. The 23-year-old artist explains that ‘Conceited’ is an exploration of being in a relationship with a fundamentally selfish person and feeling suffocated by their narcissism.
