SATELLITE STORIES – CUT OUT THE LIGHTS (Indie/Pop – Finland)

Finnish indie four piece Satellite Stories put an end to a rather lengthy career for such a young band just under a year ago with a final farewell show in London at the Lexington on October 15th 2018. Lead guitarist Marko Heikkinen, vocalist and guitarist Esa Mankinen, bass player Jyri Pesoneni and drummer O-P Ervasti met about 10 years ago at university and soon after that Satellite Stories was born. They played gigs at uni bars, released self-produced demos on the internet and then came their debut album Phrases to Break the Ice.

The band’s fifth and final studio album Cut Out The Lights was released in September 2018 via Playground Music Scandinavia and followed by a two-month tour across Europe, appropriately titled “The Final Story”.
