Melbourne-based singer/songwriter Will Cuming, aka LANKS, recently released a 6-track extended play titled Viet Rose. Drifting between skittering electronic beats, sleek samples and more introspective piano-led numbers, this EP features previous singles “Bitter Leaf” and “Golden Age”, along with a handful of brand new tunes.
Cuming co-produced the 6-tracker alongside Andrei Eremin (Chet Faker, Hiatus Kaiyote) and invited friends and monumental talents Airling and Tom Iansek (one half of Big Scary) to contribute vocals on a couple of tracks.
Viet Rose is a beautiful display of heartfelt pop music which draws from LANKS’ rich sonic palette and will no doubt cement his reputation as one of the most gifted pop artist on the Aussie indie scene.

Woodes is the moniker for 24-year-old Melbourne based producer, singer and songwriter Elle Graham, whose quick ascension into the limelight has caused many a head to turn. After the success of her debut solo single “Daggers & Knives” (over 120,000 views on YouTube and solid airplay on Triple j unearthed and FBi Radio), Woodes recently shared new track “The Thaw” which was co-written and co-produced by fellow Melbournian artist LANKS.
“The Thaw” is another powerfully beautiful track, which combines Graham’s poetic lyrics with a clever mix of textured synths and subtle beats. She is currently collaborating with local and international artists including Kilter, Milwaukee Banks, Set Mo, Kintaro, FØRD and Golden Vessel on some new tunes and she has a remix EP just out for “The Thaw”.

LANKS is the enigmatic solo electronic project of Melbourne multi-instrumentalist, Will Cuming. A classically trained jazz guitarist, he is also influenced by electronic and pop music. His brand new single “Golden Age” is a hook-driven hybrid of a pop song featuring intricate, layered guitar work, and Cuming’s elegant, soaring falsetto, which draws comparisons to Thom Yorke and Jeff Buckley.
Last July, Cuming released his second self-produced EP, Banquet, which was mixed and mastered by Andrei Eremin (Oscar Key Sung, Chet Faker) and a few months later, he collaborated with Australian producer Just a Gent on “Heavy as a Heartbreak”. The song shot to #1 on Hype Machine, Anna Lunoe championed it on Beats 1, and it reached more than 1M plays in its first two months on Soundcloud.
