ZIMMER – MAKE IT HAPPEN (Chillwave/Electronica – France)

Raised between France and California and based in Paris, DJ/producer Zimmer is one of leading figures in the Parisian electronic new wave, distilling a modern mix of smooth house music with a twist of disco. Having built a name for himself in the past few years with mesmerising musical projects such as as Coming of Age EP, or Ceremony EP, Zimmer recently released his self-titled debut album via French indie label Roche Musique.

The thirteen-track LP includes previously released slow burner “Wildflowers” and new singles such as “Thunder” and “Techno Disco”, but one of the highlights is definitely “Make it Happen”, a new collaboration with Australian artist Panama. Featuring gorgeous vocals and a slow and implacable beat, this captivating tune is one of Zimmer’s most introspective tracks to date, a feast for the ears and the mind.
