BENTLE – SCREEN (Downtempo/Pop – Australia)

Australian artist BENTLE (real name Joshua Rees McVey) first showed up on tastemakers’ radars in 2018 with his debut single ‘100X’ and then he went AWOL for nearly two years. Patience has finally paid off though as the young singer-producer finally released a new song last month, ‘Screen’, and it is just as elegant and addictive as his debut.

This new tune features McVey’s irresistible vocals against a combination of R&B infused beats, restrained synths and a sexy bass line. About ‘Screen’, Bentle explains:

“[this song] is a question. A question centered around a common, yet ill-defined, aspect of each of our relationships—alignment,” he says. “Each and every person faces times of deep misunderstanding and confusion or perhaps contentment and even joy throughout our relationships with those the closest to us. We flow in and out of alignment.”
