JOHN GRANT – PALE GREEN GHOSTS (Indie – US)

American singer-songwriter John Grant recently released his second solo effort, Pale Green Ghosts, which is the follow up to 2010’s Queen of Denmark, recorded with Midlake. The new album shows a whole new side of Grant’s musical prowess, mainly due to the input of producer Biggi Veir (best known as a member of Iceland’s electronic collective Gus Gus). Portuguese producer Xinobi was brought on board to remix the title track “Pale Green Ghosts” and the result is a disco-infused dancefloor filler with a funky bass line. John Grant and his label Bella Union loved the remix so much they decided to give it away as free download to support the beginning of his world tour.
