JUPITER – DO IT (SynthPop/Disco – France)

Paris-based electro duo Jupiter are back with a new song, “Do It”, taken of their upcoming sophomore album, Bandana Republic, which will be released next May via Persephone/Grand Blanc. Lead single “Do It” is a bouncy tune covered in disco dust and just as retro-futuristic as anything off their debut album.

Recorded in Paris and Los Angeles and produced by the band, Bandana Republic follows on from Jupiter’s acclaimed 2012 debut album, Juicy Lucy, which spawned underground hits such as “Starlighter”“Saké” and “One-O-Six”. The new LP was inspired by long drives out into the Californian desert soundtracked by classic rock radio,  and the result is a refreshing mix of sounds of the ‘70s, filtered through a very French love of synth-led pop.
