MIDNIGHT POOL PARTY – USE ME (Electro/Disco – Australia)

Midnight Pool Party are a Sydney-based duo comprised of Oliver Dela Cruz & Darren Morilla, who started out with a classic disco sound but quickly incorporated elements of dance, disco, R&B and hip-hop to create a unique blend of nu-disco electro house. Their infectious tracks have been likened to a mix between Disclosure, Hayden James and LCD Soundsystem.

In 2017 they released their debut EP, Dalliance, which received praise and attention from fans and music curators around the world. Over the next few years, they experimented with different genres and released a string of stellar singles and EPs, each one better than the last.

“Use Me” is the first new track released by MPP in 2024 and it’s a clear departure from their last few releases, which were club oriented bangers. This time around Morilla and Dela Cruz return to their signature nu-disco sound, blending groovy basslines, sexy vocals and smooth synths.

The duo explains: “we decided to change direction this year to our more classic MPP disco-esque sound. This one definitely has more of a sultry and sexy vibe to it. It’s about meeting someone that excites you and makes you feel comfortable to give yourself to them and let them drive and take control of you and your body.“
