NEARLY ORATORIO – OCCLUDE (Alt/Electronica – Australia)

Melbourne-based songwriter Nearly Oratorio (AKA Simon Lam) recently released his third EP entitled A Comforting Fact. Each song on this new release is purposefully minimal, precisely produced and unapologetically honest. The release is scattered with vocal harmonies that create entirely new tonal centres, and minimal, almost implied, rhythms, which allow the imagination of the listener to fill in the gaps.

Almost 3 years ago to the day, Nearly Oratorio released his debut EP via Solitaire Recordings. Simply titled Tin, the five-tracker featured the immensely enjoyable single ‘Occlude’, which you can stream below.
