French singer songwriter ESMO has emerged with her classy and decidedly modern debut single “Fade Away”. This new song is a fluid chill trap tune with hints of R&B. Soft synths and undulating beats set the mood while the young starlet’s smoky vocals oscillate between sultry grittiness and bold sexiness.
There is a real sing-along potential in the track’s super catchy chorus and the whole track is a lusciously produced affair that will have you begging for more. Check it out on SoundCloud and be prepared to get hooked and play this on repeat!

Brisbane producer Charles Murdoch recently released new single “Frogs”, a masterful recording which features the collaborative efforts of Ta-ku (his first ever feature vocal), Australian songstress Wafia and NYC-based MC Hak. The single is the second sample from Charles’ eagerly awaited debut LP to be released on December 11.
“Frogs” is a mesmerising listen from start to finish with swelling synth textures and smooth vocals, both sublimely accompanied by atmospheric melodies and sophisticated beats.
Charles Murdoch first caught the attention of the blogosphere as part of Brisbane-based indie dance 4-piece Mitzi, and in 2013 his rework of “Sleepless” by Flume took things to a whole new level. His debut solo track “No Lungs” pricked up industry ears, and so did his Weathered Straight EP and subsequent remixes for the likes of Bodhi, Jagwar Ma and Elizabeth Rose. If his new tracks are anything to go by, it’s safe to say the LP should be a monumental and beautifully crafted collection of cerebral electro nuggets with a soulful twist.

The single will be officially released in Scandinavia on May 14 and shortly thereafter in the UK and Ireland (worldwide release pending) but you can already stream it on SoundCloud.
Seinabo Sey’s incredible voice cruises over minimal beats and cut-up samples with the unassuming grace of a 1950s soul chanteuse and the modern edge of a 21st century pop diva. “Hard Time” follows Sey’s debut hit single “Younger”, which reached #1 on Hype Machine multiple times and garnered widespread support from The Guardian, Noisey, VIBE and many more.
Having collaborated and toured with various Swedish artists over the years, 23 year-old Seinabo Sey is now setting focus on her solo career. If you were looking for some fresh tunes to finish off the weekend, here comes Hoodlem, a new and exciting act from inner-city Melbourne. Hoodlem is an anonymous project who first showed up on our radar in July 2013 with their understated yet soulful debut “Through”.
The song received a fair amount of love from music blogs at home and abroad, but that’s nothing compared to their newest single “Old Friend”, which has already racked up almost 200,000 plays on SoundCloud. Blending delicate vocals, pulsing minimalist beats, and plucky guitars, all tightly held together with unassuming elegance, “Old Friend” is just the kind of slow-burning killer track that will play on repeat in your head for hours after you first heard it.
If you like what you hear, you should definitely check out Hoodlem’s recently posted cover of NSYNC’s early noughties hit “Girlfriend”. This grown-up version of the boy band’s classic tune is available for streaming and free download now!
