CHET FAKER – SOMETHING LIKE THIS (Electronica/Soul – Australia)

Almost 2 years after his last album Hotel Surrender, it looks like Australian neo-soul singer Chet Faker may be getting ready for a new full-length, with the recent release of his new song “Something Like This”. The track is his first new music this year, following up on last year’s single “It Could be Nice”, and it comes with a funky black and white video directed by Alana O’Herlihy.

“Something Like This” kicks off with catchy, syncopated beats and a groovy baseline that will immediately make you feel like you’re partying on a boat in the height of summer. The upbeat tempo and plucky keys continue throughout the song, like a true explosion of dopamine.
