Active since 2015, Feiertag is the alter ego of Dutch live-act Joris Feiertag. His sound can be described as electronic yet warm, and with a preference for innovative syncopated rhythms combined with fragments of instruments such as the harp and kalimba. With a bunch of EPs under his belt, Feiertag is now back with another captivating track titled “Hold Your Own”.
Unveiled last September, “Hold Your Own” was the second taste of the Heal EP, which was released via Berlin-based label Sonar Kollektik in October. On this track, a cunning beat drives the listener further and further in until the voice of young London artist Oli Hannaford takes centre stage, already a minute and half into the song, which suddenly veers towards dub reggae and UK breakbeat.
