ROOSEVELT – ORDINARY LOVE ( Synth/Disco – Germany)

Electronic master Marius Lauber, aka Roosevelt, returns with new single ‘Ordinary Love’, his first release after signing with new label Counter Records/Ninja Tune. Written in an isolated cabin in LA’s Elysian Heights, this song is classic Roosevelt, effortlessly swirling together a near-symphonic level of musical parts with his breezy vocal delivery to create something that is somehow both soothing and irresistibly danceable.

Of “Ordinary Love”, Roosevelt said that he “wanted to create some kind of urgency, that resembles the euphoria of a new love, with all its bliss, but also the uncertainty that comes with it. The idea of the sound of the sirens, that are played on a vintage Prophet 5, came when I wanted to create an underlying feeling of instability. It worked out as a great contrast to the melodic chords, as there’s always a slight disharmony going on throughout the track.”

“Ordinary Love” will be featured on Roosevelt’s forthcoming new album, Embrace, to be released before the end of the year. Follow Roosevelt on Facebook and stream his music on SoundCloud. Download the single now from Bandcamp or Ninja Tune.
