HARRY NATHAN – COSMIC PERSPECTIVE EP (Electro/House – Australia)
Australian producer/singer/songwriter Harry Nathan, who has released a pretty impressive collection of singles and eps over the last few years (“I’m in Need”, “Frontin’ Me”, “Sweet Release”, is back with a new track combining lo-fi house, late-night loungy disco and pulsating beats. “So Real” is part of his new four-track Cosmic Perspective EP released on March 22, which also includes his previous single “Understanding”.
According to Harry he was able to connect more with Indigenous Australian culture while writing the EP on a friend’s farm in Byron Bay and the tracks incorporate recordings of the local wildlife and live didgeridoo performances.
Harry Nathan explains: “I wrote this EP whilst staying on a friend’s farm for the summer in Byron Bay Hinterland. I was blessed to be able to connect with the land and through my friends deepen my knowledge of our Indigenous Australian culture. Hidden amongst the EP are recordings of birds and wildlife, live didgeridoo, and conversations with my friends. I wanted to keep the lyrics sparse and poignant, to allow the sonic landscape to tell most of the story”.
