TENDER – HANDMADE EGO (Alt/Pop – UK)

London duo Tender is the musical union of Dan Cobb and James Cullen, two friends who started out in 2015 creating dark and seductive grooves in their North London basement. The pair eventually signed to independent label Partisan Records, which would release their debut record, Modern Addiction, in 2017. But Cobb and Cullen are not ones to rest on their laurels and they already have a double A-side single out, featuring two fresh new tracks: “Handmade Ego” and “No Devotion”.

Taken off Tender’s forthcoming album Fear of Falling Asleep, “Handmade Ego” is a bittersweet song inspired by the moments that come just before sleep, when silence descends and the mind wanders. This slick R&B-inflected number provides a seductive blend of feverish electronic grooves, dreamy synths and washed out guitars in pure Tender style.
